Ink-stained skies plague the world

But darkness has yet settled in

For tomorrow carries a new sunrise

And tomorrow I’ll lift my chin

They dwell and cower in this bitter night sky

But I seek comfort in the moon

For tomorrow carries a new sunrise

And tomorrow is sweetly soon

Grief has broken brittle bones

But I have faith they’ll heal stronger

For tomorrow carries a new sunrise

And tomorrow won’t be much longer

Snow and ice may pelt the earth

But I don’t fear what the storm may bring

For tomorrow carries a new sunrise

And tomorrow the snow won’t cling

Do you feel the warm rays of light

That tear through the ominous clouds?

Do you see the alluring ombre of colors

That would make a resentful man proud?

Thunderstorms may disease our planet

But my face still holds a grin

For tomorrow carries a new sunrise

And today I’ll lift my chin

* The End *
