Amber drops drip down for me,

Encapsulate me in all your glory.

Just a tear from your tree,

And I’ll abandon being free.

And when that amber cracks one day,

Behold! The time to reap.

Let me be there to see,

What those think of me

Let my wandering mind

Be an item worth to keep.

Description:

“Encapsulate Me” is a short yet perceptive poem that follows the speaker as they explain their desire to be immortalized despite the consequences that follow. I hope the piece leaves a melancholy yet understandable taste in readers' mouths and prompts self-reflection.
