Dark and dreary

Life so weary

For nothing more merrily

As the sunset arise.

The darkness’ demise,

Now gleam of sunshine

Gold beauty overthrow

In a wonderful glow

For nothing more merrily

As the sunset arise.

Description:

“As the Sunset Arise” is a simplistic but hopeful poem explaining the beauty of light overtaking the darkness. As the speaker watches a new gleam of light seep into the darkness before, they find a light of hope be built from within.
